A week of transport changes, openings and plans
An airport expansion, tram changes, a new music venue and a family attraction: six updates to know this week.
Wrocław Airport expansion finishes early
The airport has put its new airside infrastructure into use more than two months ahead of schedule. The project cost over PLN 464 million and includes a stand area for 14 aircraft, a parallel taxiway and other operational facilities. It creates capacity for future growth; it is not an announcement of a particular new route.
Since 26 September, trams have returned to Peronowa, Trzebnicka and Traugutta. The usual 12-minute weekday frequency has also returned. Work has begun on Pomorska, with further route changes. Buses have not yet fully returned to Peronowa, so check your connection before travelling.
Stary Klasztor celebrated the opening of Piwnica Starego Klasztoru on 26 September. The basement venue joins its existing music spaces at Purkyniego 1.
Pixel Rush, an interactive LED-floor game, is already operating inside Fun Park at Galeria Nowy Rynek in Jelenia Góra. Its opening celebration took place on 26–27 September. Find it on level +2 next to Laser Tag.
PRZY KŁODZKIEJ, a new outdoor food area beside Galeria Twierdza Kłodzko, is scheduled to open on 3 October, with an opening event at noon. It had not yet opened when this update was published; check the organiser's announcement before visiting.
Wrocław has approved funding for 34 trees between the Market Square and Kazimierza Wielkiego. Work is planned to start after the Christmas market. This is a future change, not something already visible on the street.
